On Thursday, March 5, 2015, diplomat Valery Mkrtumian, recently appointed Minister Plenipotentiary at the Consulate General of Armenia in Los Angeles, visited the Prelacy where he had a cordial meeting with H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate.
His Eminence and the honored formed an enduring friendship in 2001 when Mr. Mkrtumian was appointed to serve as Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles until 2003. The Prelate was pleased to welcome Mr. Mkrtumian back to Los Angeles and wished him success in his new responsibilities.
The discussion encompassed local community matters, general issues concerning Armenia and the Armenian nation, and Genocide centennial commemoration plans.
