On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed members of the newly elected Armenian Relief Society Western Regional Executive, headed by Chairlady Mrs. Lena Bozoyan. Executive Council Chair Mrs. Rima Boghossian participated in the meeting.
The delegation had come to the Prelacy to receive the Prelate’s blessings as they began a new term of service. The members gave an overview of their upcoming activities in the Western United States and also in Armenia, Artsakh, and Javakhk. An important matter of discussion was the situation in Syria and the aid that is being provided to the Syrian-Armenian community, as well as social services the ARS provides to our community.
The Prelate blessed and commended the members for their service to the welfare of the Armenian people through the ARS, and expressed his appreciation for the collaboration of the ARS between the Prelacy and its parishes.
