Prelate Welcomes New Homenetmen Regional Executive

On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed the newly elected Homenetmen Regional Executive, headed by Chairman Manuel Marselian. The guests had come for an introductory meeting with the Prelate and to receive his blessings as they embark on a new year of activities. Executive Council Chairman Vahe Hovaguimian and member Dr. Kaloust Agopian joined in the meeting.

The Prelate first congratulated the new members and wished them continued successes in their future endeavors. His Eminence once again thanked Homenetmen for bestowing him the “Extraordinary Medal” and for their collaboration in the recent visit of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, in particular their efforts in planning the meeting with our Pontiff and the youth. Congratulatory remarks were also delivered by Chairman Mr. Hovaguimian.

The discussion centered on the forthcoming endeavors of the new Executive, among them collaborative efforts with the Prelacy such as the “St. Mesrob Mashdots” and “Kayl Vahan” religious curriculum programs. The guests shared information about preliminary work underway to mark Homenetmen’s centennial in 2018, to which the Prelate offered his thoughts and suggestions.

In conclusion, the Prelate commended the organization’s worthy mission and the devoted service of its members and presented mementos to the guests.
