On Thursday, November 19, 2015, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed to the Prelacy prominent scholar, poet, and educator Jacques Hagopian, who had come to present the draft of his upcoming book, an anthology featuring over fifteen of his poems dedicated to the Armenian people, Armenian language, and Holy Bible. Mr. Hagopian expressed his wish for the Prelacy to publish and distribute the volume to Prelacy Schools on the occasion of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, and thanked the Prelate for publishing his previous books. As a nice gesture, Mr. Hagopian on this occasion presented His Eminence with the lectern cover he has been using for decades during Bible Study at St. Mary’s, St. Sarkis, and Holy Martyrs Churches.
The Prelate commended the poet on his latest achievement, thanked him for the beautiful gift, and responded favorably to his request to publish and gift the book to students. In the past fifteen years, the Prelacy has published ten of Mr. Hagopian’s books.
