On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, welcomed the visit of representatives from the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund (SARF), who had come to report on SARF’s current activities and future plans. The delegation included John Titizian, Meher Der Ohanessian (Prelacy representative to SARF), Vazken Madenlian, and Manoug Seraydarian. Executive Council Chair Mr. Vahe Hovaguimian joined the Prelate.
The guests spoke about the organization’s fundraising efforts in the past few months and of the Telethon which is scheduled for February 21, 2016 and for which preparations have already begun.
The Prelate commended the representatives for their commitment to our brothers and sisters in Syria and wished them great success in the Telethon and in all their endeavors with the collective support of the community. In conclusion, the Prelate and Executive Council Chair affirmed the full support of the Prelacy and stated that alongside continuous fundraising at Prelacy Churches in support of Syrian Armenians, there will be a special collection for the Telethon in due time.
