Premiere Christmas Concert “Peace For The Armenian Nation”

H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate met with a group of musicians on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Western Prelacy, to detail their participation in a premier concert dedicated to peace for the Armenian nation. The concert will be held in the days leading up to the New Year and Christmas.

“Peace has always been sought by the Armenian people, and though it has rarely been realized, it is necessary for a constructive and creative life for Armenians,” stressed Prelate Donoyan.

The prelate explained his understanding of the “Armenian nation” to mean Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhk, Nakichevan, the Diaspora, to which this unique concert for peace is dedicated and organized on the occasion of Christmas 2022 (January 6).

The Peace for the Armenian Nation concert will take place on Saturday, December 25, 7pm at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale (500 S. Central Ave.), under the auspices of H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate. The event is sponsored by the Satig Der Ohannessian Fund, established in the memory of Executive Council Vice Chair Meher Der Ohanessian’s wife, and is organized by the Western Prelacy.

Soloist artist Berj Kirazian will oversee preparations for the concert, under the direct supervision of Prelate Donoyan. Approximately fifteen artists will perform classical Armenian and international selections dedicated to Christmas and New Years, and will also premier original new works.
