From August 3-5, 2016, the 7th regional camp of Homenetmen Western United States was held at Camp Tecuya. Over the three days, hundreds of young scouts participated in recreational activities and educational programs, which this year included a religious curriculum.
By the directive of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, Archpriest Fr. Vazken Atmajian visited the camp where he presented lectures on various topics relating to our faith and church. A special ceremony was held on the last day, during which Fr. Vazken, accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian, blessed the “Kayl Vahan” and “St. Vartan” emblems and presented them to the participants. On behalf of the Prelate, Fr. Vazken commended and congratulated Homenetmen Western Regional Executive, Scouting Council, and the young scouts and conveyed blessings to all.
