On Monday, January 25, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and Very Rev. Fr. Barouyr Shernezian departed for San Francisco where Fr. Barouyr will soon begin his new assignment as parish pastor of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church. The purpose of the trip was to introduce Fr. Barouyr to the parish community.
In the evening, the Prelate presided over a gathering of parish and community representatives at Saroyan Hall of the Khachaturian Armenian Community Center, including current pastor, Archpriest Fr. Khoren Habeshian, members of the Board of Trustees, Ladies Guild, Krisdapor Gomideh, ARS Garin Chapter (San Francisco), ARS Erepuni Chapter (Oakland), ARS Agnouni Chapter (San Jose), and Homenetmen San Francisco Chapter.
Greetings and well wishes were delivered by Fr. Khoren Habeshian, Board Chair Mr. Rostom Aintablian, and representatives of the sister organizations. The Prelate introduced Father Barouyr and wished him good luck and great success in his new mission. Father Barouyr expressed gratitude to the Prelate and to the community for the warm welcome.
