In the past two weeks the conflict in Aleppo has escalated dramatically, resulting in hundrededs of casualties and massive destruction to infrastructure. Due to heavy shelling in Armenian neighborhoods, numerous Armenians have been killed and wounded during this period.
On account of these grave developments, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, has advised for requiem prayers to be offered in Prelacy Church on Sunday, October 9, 2016, as well as prayers of healing for the wounded and prayers for peace.
We urge our faithful to join us in prayer for all the innocent victims caught in the crossfire of the raging war.
The Syrian Armenian Relief Fund (SARF) has organized a special public gathering which will be held on Monday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. at the Western Diocese “Kalaydjian” Hall in Burbank.
