In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, on the evening of Thursday, April 9, 2015, the Western Prelacy will host the screening of “William Saroyan: The Man, The Writer” at the Dikran and Zarouhie Der Ghazarian Hall in La Crescenta. The event begins at 7:00 p.m.
The acclaimed documentary film by Mr. Paul Kalinian and Dr. Susie Kalinian chronicles William Saroyan’s childhood memories, 60 year writing career, international fame, character, philosophy, and his eternal love for both the land of his ancestors and land of his birth. The English language film is narrated by William Saroyan and Mike Connors and features Armenian subtitles. The duration of the film is one hour.
We invite our community to join us in paying tribute to the life and works of internationally renowned writer, playwright, humanitarian, Pulitzer Prize and Oscar winner William Saroyan.
The film will also be shown in various Prelacy Schools.
