By the invitation of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Pre-School Board, on the evening of Friday, April 15, 2016, members of the Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Pre-School family gathered at Phoenicia Restaurant in Glendale to honor long-time Director Mrs. Helen Manoucherian who will be retiring at the end of the school year. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan, Archpriest Fr. Nareg Pehlivanian, and Rev. Fr. Khoren Babochian. Also in attendance were representatives of St. Sarkis Church, Board of Regents of Prelacy Schools, and Pasadena Armenian community organizations, all of whom congratulated and commended Mrs. Manoucherian’s meritorious service.
The Prelate delivered his message on this occasion and presented a letter of blessing to Mrs. Manoucherian commending her over two decades of service and valuable contributions to the field of education. “Mrs. Manoucherian has had significant input in the growth and development of Tavlian Pre-School. She has been a nurturing mother figure to the young students and a beloved colleague to the faculty, and has served lovingly and selflessly guided by the Proverb, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” She enters retirement having earned the love and respect of her students, staff, and parents, and leaving behind a lasting impression on the school,” stated the Prelate.
