On the afternoon of Sunday, December 20, 2015, the young students of Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Pre-School presented a festive Christmas program at the Armenian Center in Pasadena in celebration of the upcoming New Year and Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of our Lord Jesus Christ.
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, attended and conveyed his blessings and message. Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan and Executive Council member Mr. Antranig Kasbarian were also in attendance.
The program began with the Lord’s Prayer, after which the Prelate greeted Tavlian School Director Mrs. Helen Manoucherian and the St. Sarkis Church and Tavlian School family, conveying his well wishes on the joyous occasions of the New Year and Christmas. His Eminence spoke of the Birth of Christ as the greatest expression of God’s love for man and the greatest message of humility, and tied in the messages of humility and sincerity of the day’s Gospel reading on the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. The Prelate also highlighted the virtues of children as the embodiment of purity, goodness, and simple faith, and invited the guests to emulate their faith and modesty.
The program continued with a beautiful presentation by the students telling the story of the Birth of Christ.
