On Sunday, May 1, 2022, the ARS Western Region annual dinner was held at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, attended by H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan.
On this occasion, the Prelate highly commended the patriotic activities of the Armenian Relief Society for more than a century and the spirit of unwavering service to the homeland and our people, and addressed more than 500 guests by stating; “For more than a century, the ARS has been serving itself to Armenia, Artsakh, Javakhk and the Diaspora. It also serves in the name of the nation and the homeland, in support of the Armenian army and soldier, for the Armenian mother and child, for the benefit of the Armenian teacher and student, for the young and the old, for the needy and the destitute, for the sake of the steadfastness of all the children of Armenia.”
At the end of his remarks, the Prelate congratulated the Regional Executive of ARS Western Region and the event benefactors, Mr. & Mrs. Jack and Zarig Youredjian, on their generous donation to the ARS-funded Relief Project in Yerevan, which will aide the wounded soldiers and the disabled by receiving professional care.
The Prelate and ARS Regional Executive Chairwoman Mrs. Silva Poladian jointly presented a souvenir to the benefactor which was followed by a candlelight vigil.
