On Friday, November 22, 2019, the 45th anniversary gala of Vahan and Anoush Chamlian School was held at The Langham in Pasadena under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and with the theme “Lead, Celebrate, Build.”
Archpriest Fr. Gomidas Torossian attended and conveyed the Prelate’s blessings and well wishes.
The program began with opening remarks by the MC, Peter Baghdassarian.
Fr. Gomidas delivered the invocation and read the Prelate’s message, in which His Eminence had stated that Chamlian School has, since its founding 45 years ago, substantiated all hopes placed on it by all those who turn to it eager for quality education and national instruction, adding that the success of the School is evident by the large number of those who have returned to give back to the School that gave them so much. “This 45th anniversary must be an opportunity for all to renew their pledge of support so that Chamlian School may continue its mission of providing invaluable instruction on our faith, history, and culture to generations of students to come,” stated His Eminence. He concluded by thanking the benefactors, Vahan and Anoush Chamlian, and all past and present sponsors who have been vital to the School’s establishment and flourishing, and congratulating the Board of Regents, Principal Dr. Talin Kargodorian, School Board, staff, parents, and the School family at large, wishing continued success in their shared mission.
Gala Committee co-chairs Ani Hartoonian and Agneta Gharibian conveyed welcoming remarks, and School Board Chair Artin Ghazarian delivered the Board’s message. A video presentation followed chronicling the school’s history.
