PRELATE TO CELEBRATE THE FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION
AT ST. MARY’S CHURCH IN GLENDALE
On Sunday, August 16, 2015, the Armenian Church will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God, one of five major feast days. The feast will be celebrated in Prelacy Churches with Divine Liturgy and the blessing of grapes.
The feast is also the name-day celebration of St. Mary’s Church in Glendale. Thus, on this occasion, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will celebrate Divine Liturgy at St.

On Tuesday, August 11, the Prelate welcomed the visit of H.G. Bishop Krikor Chiftjian, Prelate of Azerbaijan, Iran, who is in Los Angeles for a brief visit.
The two Prelates spoke of the endeavors of their respective Prelacies and discussed various matters, above all the message of spiritual renewal brought forth by the recent blessing of Holy Muron among the Prelacies and faithful of the Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia.

RECEPTION IN CELEBRATION OF SUPERVISOR MICHAEL ANTONOVICH’S BIRTHDAY AT HOLY CROSS CATHEDRAL
On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, an annual reception was held at “Bagramian” Hall of Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello in honor of Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich’s birthday. H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, sent a congratulatory letter to Supervisor Antonovich, which was read by Holy Cross Cathedral Dean, Very Rev. Fr. Muron Aznikian. Holy Cross Pastor Rev. Fr. Ashod Kambourian was also in attendance.
In the letter, the Prelate conveyed his well wishes to Supervisor Antonovich for many more years of good health, good fortune, and great joy, and took the opportunity to thank him for the precious gift of his decades-long support of the Armenian-American community and for his genuine friendship.
