On Sunday, September 1st, 2013, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at the Crescenta Valley Parish, which holds its services at the Prelacy Hall. The service begins at 11:00 a.m.

98TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE HEROIC MUSA DAGH RESISTANCE
This years marks the 98th anniversary of the heroic resistance of Musa Dagh. From July to September of 1915, for fifty-three days, the heroic Armenian villagers fought off the Ottoman Turks and defended their lands.
In Fresno, the Musa Dagh Commemorative Committee organizes an annual commemoration of this historic battle.
This year’s commemoration will be held on Labor Day weekend, beginning on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. with the traditional festival which includes music, dancing, food, and the preparation of the madagh. The commemoration will continue at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning with Divine Liturgy, requiem, and the blessing of the madagh.
By the ordinance of the Prelate, Rev. Fr. Khoren Babochian will celebrate Divine Liturgy and conduct the blessing of madagh.
All services will be held at the Fresno County Peace Officers Association Training Grounds located at 7633 N. Weber Ave.

PRESENTATION OF TZOLAG HOVSEPIAN’S “FAMILIAR FACES”
AT THE PRELACY
On the evening of Wednesday, September 4, Tzolag Hovsepian’s photo book Familiar Faces will be presented at the Prelacy “Dikran and Zarouhie Der Ghazarian” Hall. The book presentation is being held under the auspices of the Prelate, and is organized by Asbarez Newspaper and Sardarabad Bookstore. The keynote speaker is Dr. Viken Yacoubian, and the book will be presented by Mr. Saro Nazarian. The event begins at 7:00 p.m.
