PRELATE TO PRESIDE OVER LAST DIVINE LITURGY OF THE YEAR
AT ST. MARY’S CHURCH IN GLENDALE

On Sunday, December 30, 2012, the last Divine Liturgy of this year will be celebrated in Prelacy Churches.

H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale.

MORNING SERVICES ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW YEAR

On the morning of Tuesday, January 1st, 2013, morning services will be conducted in Prelacy Churches so that our faithful may begin the New Year with prayers, thanking God for His blessings throughout the past year and praying for a healthy, joyous, and prosperous New Year.

As we welcome the year 2013, the Prelate conveys his well wishes to our faithful for a New Year filled with God’s blessings, love, good health, prosperity, and for peace and harmony to be restored in the world and especially in Syria where our brothers and sisters continue to experience great difficulties.

CHRISTMAS DIVINE LITURGY AND BLESSING OF WATER
AT ARARAT HOME

In celebration of the Nativity and Theophany of our Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 2nd, Divine Liturgy will be celebrated and the blessing of water ceremony will be conducted at Ararat Home in Mission Hills.

The day will being at 10:00 a.m. with morning service and the blessing of water in the Residents Dining Room of the Nursing Facility.  The Prelate will conduct the services, with the participation of Clergy members.

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the Sheen Chapel.  St. Mary’s Church Pastor Rev. Fr. Gomidas Torossian will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon.

At noon, the Prelate and clergy will be hosted to a luncheon by the administration.

CHRISTMAS PRAYER SERVICE AND BLESSING OF WATER
AT GLENDALE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

In celebration of the Nativity and Theophany of our Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 4th, morning service and the blessing of water ceremony will take place at Glendale Memorial Hospital.  The service begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Hospital Auditorium.

The Prelate will lead the prayer service, conduct the blessing of water, and convey his New Year and Christmas blessings and well wishes to the administration, staff, and patients.  St. Mary’s Church Pastors will assist in the service.

CHRISTMAS EVE DIVINE LITURGY

On Saturday, January 5th, Christmas Eve Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Prelacy Churches, followed by the spiritually uplifting lighting of the candles service (Jrakalooyots).  Following the moving service faithful return to their homes with lit candles to spread and share the Christmas tidings of love, hope, and peace throughout their homes and with their loved ones.

The Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Sarkis Church in Pasadena.

CHRISTMAS DIVINE LITURGY AND BLESSING OF WATER

On Sunday, January 6th, the Glorious Birth and Theophany of our Lord Jesus Christ will be ceremoniously celebrated with Divine Liturgy and the blessing of water in all Prelacy Churches.

The Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy, deliver the sermon, and conduct the blessing of water at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino.

Catholicosate Seminary Dean H.E. Archbishop Nareg Alemezian, who will be in Los Angeles during this time, will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale.

MEMORIAL DAY REQUIEM SERVICE AT FOREST LAWN

On the morning of Monday, January 7, Christmas memorial day services will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills “Hall of Liberty” and Forest Lawn Glendale “Church of the Recessional”, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Prelate will preside over the service at Hollywood Hills Forest Lawn.
