PRELATE TO PRESIDE OVER FIRST DIVINE LITURGY OF THE NEW YEAR AT FORTY MARTYRS CHURCH IN ORANGE COUNTY
On Sunday, January 3, 2016, the Prelate will preside over the first Divine Liturgy of the New Year at Forty Martyrs Church in Orange County, where he will also deliver the sermon. Following the service, the Prelate will conduct the blessing and opening of the memorial garden sponsored by Mr. Garbis Arslanyan in memory of his wife Maryam. A reception will follow at “Gugasian” Hall.

PRELATE’S CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE
On Wednesday, January 6, the Birth and Theophany of our Lord Jesus Christ will be celebrated in all Prelacy Churches with Divine Liturgy and the blessing of water. The Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy, deliver the sermon, and conduct the blessing of water at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino. In the evening, the Prelate’s New Year and Christmas Dinner will be held at “Bagramian Hall” in Montebello with the participation of clergy, councils, parishes, sister organizations, sponsors, and friends.
On Tuesday, January 5, Christmas Eve, the Prelate will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Garabed Church in Hollywood.
On Thursday, January 7, Christmas Memorial Day requiem service will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills “Hall of Liberty” and Forest Lawn Glendale “Church of the Recessional”, presided over by the Prelate and with the participation of clergy. The service begins at 10:00 a.m.
By the ordinance of the Prelate, on Sunday, January 3rd, Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at the Colorado parish on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas. Fr. Boghos will celebrate Christmas Eve service at St. Sarkis Church in Pasadena and Christmas service at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale.

GAIZAG AND ANAHID OHANESIAN TO HOST PRELATE’S NEW YEAR AND CHRISTMAS DINNER
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, the Religious and Executive Councils, and Ladies Auxiliary are pleased to announce that Mr. and Mrs. Gaizag and Anahid Ohanesian will be the hosts of the Prelate’s New Year and Christmas Dinner to take place on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at “Bagramian” Hall in Montebello.
The Ohanesian’s were among the main sponsors of the 2015 Christmas Dinner and earlier this year made a generous donation in support of the Catholicosate of Cilicia’s legal claim for the return of the historic Catholicosate in Sis. During this year’s Representatives Assembly, the couple was awarded the Western Prelacy “St. Dertad” and “St. Ashkhen” medal as a token of appreciation for their valuable support of the Catholicosate and our Prelacy.

CHRISTMAS AT GLENDALE MEMORIAL
In celebration of the New Year and the Nativity and Theophany of our Lord Jesus Christ, on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, January 5, the Prelate will conduct the blessing of water at Glendale Memorial Hospital and convey his well wishes to the administration, staff, and patients. The Prelate will be accompanied by St. Mary’s Church clergy. The service begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Lobby.
