EPISCOPAL DIVINE LITURGY AND BLESSING OF MADAGH ON THE NAME DAY OF ST. GARABED CHURCH IN HOLLYWOOD
– READING OF “YEAR OF SERVICE” PONTIFICAL MESSAGE
On Thursday, January 14, 2016 the Armenian Apostolic Church commemorated the Feast of St. John the Forerunner, which is also the name day of St. Garabed Church of Hollywood and Las Vegas.
On this occasion, on Sunday, January 17, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will celebrate Divine Liturgy, deliver the sermon, and conduct the blessing of madagh at St. Garabed Church in Hollywood.
Following the service the Prelate will preside over the annual celebratory luncheon at “Karapetian” Hall, during which the Pastor and Board of Trustees traditionally honor an individual for their service to the church and community. This year’s honoree is Mr. Apraham Tashjian.
As previously reported, His Holiness Aram I has proclaimed 2016 the “Year of Service.” On Sunday, January 17, the Pontifical message of His Holiness will be read in all Prelacy Churches during Divine Liturgy.
