PRELATE TO CONDUCT BLESSING OF WATER WITH NEW MURON AT HOLY CROSS CATHEDRAL IN MONTEBELLO
– REQUIEM FOR ARCHBISHOP SUMBAT LAPAJIAN AND THE LISBON 5
Having returned from Antelias, Lebanon after participating in the blessing of Holy Muron conducted by His Holiness Aram I, on Sunday, July 26, 2015, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at Holy Cross Cathedral in Montebello. During the service, the Prelate will conduct the blessing of water with the new Muron.
At the conclusion of Divine Liturgy the Prelate will preside over the requiem service, during which prayers will be offered for the soul of Archbishop Sumbat Lapajian on the fifth anniversary of his passing.
On the same day, requiem prayers will be offered in all Prelacy Churches in memory of the young men of Lisbon 5 who sacrificed their lives for the Armenian Cause 32 years ago.

ARMENIAN RELIEF SOCIETY 95TH REGIONAL CONVENTION
On Thursday, July 16, the Armenian Relief Society Western United States 95th Regional Convention convened at the Pasadena Armenian Center with the presence of Central Executive, Regional Executive, and members of local chapters. The annual gathering serves to review the activities of the previous term and draft the endeavors of the coming term.
Rev. Fr. Boghos Baltayan delivered the opening prayer and read the message of the Prelate, in which His Eminence highly commended the invaluable contributions of the ARS in our national life since its inception 95 years ago and wished them utmost successes in this Centennial year and beyond.
