ORDINATION OF ACOLYTES AT ST. MARY’S CHURCH IN GLENDALE
On Sunday, July 31, 2016, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale.
During the service, the Prelate will conduct the ordination of acolytes. Fourteen young church servants will receive the rank of acolyte. They are: Sarkis Ovayan, Alex Sandaljian, Michael Simonian, Hagop Naljian, Hovhannes Maharian, Mesia Movsesian, Hovhannes Hovasapian, Shant Sandaljian, Garo Naljian, Saro Sandaljian, Kevork Majarian, Khatchadour Cherkezian, Khatchig Hovasapian, and Arshen Charmahali.

REQUIEM ON THE 33RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARTYRDOM OF THE LISBON 5
July 27, 2016 marks the 33rd anniversary of the martyrdom of the Lisbon 5, Simon Yahneian, Vatche Daghlian, Sarkis Abrahamian, Ara Kerjelian, and Setrak Adjemian, who sacrificed their lives to further the Armenian Cause.
On Sunday, July 31st, by the ordinance of the Prelate, requiem prayers will be offered in all Prelacy Churches for the Lisbon 5.
We invite our faithful to join us in paying tribute to the five heroic young men and their ultimate sacrifice for the Armenian Cause.
