43RD REPRESENTATIVES ASSEMBLY CONVENES
On the afternoon of Friday, May 1st, 2015, the 43rd Representatives Assembly convened at the “Dikran and Zarouhie Der Ghazarian” Hall, presided over by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and with the participation of Clergy, Central Executive members, Religious and Executive Councils, Delegates, Boards of Trustees Chairs, principals, directors, and members of the Board of Regents and CASPS. This year’s Assembly is hosted by the Crescenta Valley Church Board of Trustees. The Assembly concludes on Saturday afternoon. Details to follow.

PRELATE TO PRESIDE OVER DIVINE LITURGY AT HOLY MARTYRS CHURCH IN ENCINO
Sunday, May 3rd is the fifth Sunday of Easter and the Feast of the Apparition of the Holy Cross.
On this day, the Prelate will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at Holy Martyrs Church in Glendale.
Following the service, the Prelate will preside over the unveiling and blessing of the new Armenian Genocide monument in the courtyard.

NATIONAL COMMEMORATION OF THE GENOCIDE CENTENNIAL IN WASHINGTON D.C.
From May 7 – 9, a historic commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will be held in Washington D.C., presided over by Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of all Armenians, and His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, and with the participation of His Excellency Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, Armenian and non-Armenian dignitaries, and Armenian-Americans from across the nation.
The commemoration encompasses a number of events, including the following: an Ecumenical Service at the National Cathedral, a concert at The Music Center at Strathmore, Divine Liturgy at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and a reception and banquet at the Marriot Marquis Hotel.
The Prelate and Executive Council members will participate in the commemoration, along with a large delegation of benefactors and community members from our Prelacy.

INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE AT PROVIDENCE HIGH SCHOOL IN COMMEMORATION OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE CENTENNIAL
On the morning of Friday, April 24, a special Interfaith Prayer Service was held at Providence High School in Burbank in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. By the ordinance of the Prelate, Deacon Suren Hazarian participated in the service with prayers in memory of our martyrs.

The service included traditional Armenian prayers and songs, as well as remarks by members of the administration and Armenian students recalling their family story in the Genocide and the important of universal recognition.
The prayer service was conducted by Campus Minister Nicolas Estrada, with the participation of Archdeacon Suren, Rabbi Deborah Silver, and Sister Joeline Santiago.
