MEMORIAL EVENING DEDICATED TO CATHOLICOI
ZAREH I AND KHOREN I

Earlier this year, the legacy of two of our beloved Pontiffs of blessed memory, Catholicos Zareh I and Catholicos Khoren I, and their contributions to the Armenian Apostolic Church was honored with requiem service throughout the Prelacies of the Holy See of Cilicia, including our Prelacy, on the 50th and 30th anniversaries of their passing.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, our community is invited to a special memorial evening paying tribute to the life and great works of our two Catholicoi.

The event, held under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, and organized by the Religious Council and Prelacy Cultural-Educational Committee, will feature a lecture, cultural performances, and a video presentation.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Prelacy “Dikran and Zarouhie Der Ghazarian” Hall.

ARS “MAYR” CHAPTER CELEBRATES 95 YEARS

ARSFestivalOn Friday, May 2nd, the Armenian Relief Society Hollywood “Mayr” Chapter celebrated its 95th anniversary with a banquet held at Renaissance Hall in Glendale.

The banquet officially began with the invocation by the Prelate.  His Eminence also delivered his message on this milestone anniversary, commended and congratulating the members for their service.

The ARS 12th annual Armenian Cultural and Food Festival was held on Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5 at Glendale Civic Auditorium.  On Saturday the Prelate visited the festival where he met with the ARS leadership, members and volunteers, and conveyed his blessings and well wishes to all.  The Prelate was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Vazken Atmajian.
