Sunday, May 17, 2015 is the seventh Sunday of Easter, known as Second Palm Sunday. On this day, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy at Holy Martyrs Church in Encino. Parish Pastor Rev. Fr. Razmig Khatchadourian will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon.

VICTORY DAY AND LIBERATION OF SHUSHI COMMEMORATION AT THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF ARMENIA
On the evening of Monday, May 11, the community gathered at the Consulate General of Armenia in Glendale to celebrate two significant events in history, the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day and the 23rd anniversary of the Liberation of Shushi, as well as the formation of the Artsakh Defense Army. On behalf of the Prelate, Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian delivered the opening prayer and conveyed the greetings of His Eminence.
The commemoration began with the national anthems of the United States and Armenia. Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich conveyed his greetings and presented a proclamation to consul General Sergey Sarkisov.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Viken Hovsepian. Remarks were also delivered by Mr. Robert Avetisyan, Representative of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in Washington, and the Consul General. World War II veterans and Artsakh liberation war participants were among the guests in attendance.
