Sunday, May 6, 2012, is the fourth Sunday after Easter, and on this day the Feast of the Apparition of the Holy Cross is celebrated.
H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon at St. Sarkis Church in Pasadena.

ELECT THEIR OFFICERS
On Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, presided over the first meeting of the new Religious and Executive Councils (elected at the 40th Representatives Assembly on April 20 and 21) during which the election of the officers took place.

PRELATE VISITS NEW LEBANESE CONSUL GENERAL
On the morning of Friday, May 4th, 2012, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, paid an official visit to the Lebanese Consulate General to meet with newly appointed Consul General the Honorable Johnny Ibrahim.
Rev. Fr. Ardak Demirjian, Executive Council Vice-Chair Mr. George Chorbajian and Treasurer Mr. Toros Kejejian accompanied the Prelate.
The meeting began with the Prelate congratulating the Consul General on his appointment and wishing him success in his new post. Among the items discussed was the close ties and collaboration of the Lebanese Consulate General with the Prelacy and Lebanese-Armenian community. The Prelate reflected on the Pontifical Visit of H.H. Catholicos Aram I in October, during which time His Beatitude Patriarch Bechara Rai was also visiting Los Angeles, and noted that the two spiritual leaders had the opportunity to meet with one another on more than one occasion. Consul General Ibrahim spoke highly of the Armenian community in Lebanon and their and input and contributions to the advancement of the country.
At the conclusion of their meeting the Prelate extended an invitation to the Consul General to visit the Prelacy, to which he responded favorably.

HOLY SEE OF CILICIA SEMINARY NOW ACCEPTING STUDENTS FOR THE 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR
We hereby announce to our faithful that Seminary of the Holy See of Cilicia is now accepting students for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Registration dates are May 1 to 19, and August 15 to September 15. The school year begins on Monday, October 15.
Students must have completed elementary school to enroll at the Seminary; however, older students in secondary school or college are eligible as well.
In the coming school year, there will also be a new program specifically for 20-25 year olds.

PRELATE TO ATTEND TAVLIAN PRE-SCHOOL
20TH ANNIVERSAY BANQUET
On Friday, May 4th, Levon and Hasmig Tavlian Pre-School will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a banquet to beheld at the Armenian Society of Los Angeles hall.
The Prelate will attend and convey his message and blessings. His Eminence will be accompanied by Rev. Fr. Khoren Babochian.
