BLESSING OF WATER CEREMONIES TO CONCLUDE AT ST. GARABED CHURCH IN HOLLYWOOD

HollywoodChurchIn July of 2015, upon his return from participating in the blessing of Holy Muron by His Holiness Aram I at St. Mary Monastery in Bikfaya, Lebanon, H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, embarked on pastoral visits to Prelacy parishes to conduct the blessing of water with the new Muron. The last of the ceremonies will take place at St. Garabed Mother Church in Hollywood on Sunday, October 25.

The Prelate will preside over Divine Liturgy and deliver the sermon, after which he will conduct the water blessing ceremony.

We invite our faithful to participate in the ceremony and receive the blessed water.

PRELATE REPRESENTED AT SARF EVENTS

SARFConcertOn Sunday, October 18, a benefit concert in support of Syrian Armenians was held at Glendale High School Auditorium, sponsored by the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund. The event featured performances by the Hamazkayin Ani Dance Company the Sayat Nova Choir of the “Barouyr Sevag” chapter. Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian represented the Prelate.

On Wednesday, October 21, a public gathering was held by the initiative of the Armenian Missionary Association of America and the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund, with the participation of the leadership of the Armenian Apostolic, Catholic, and Evangelical Churches. The event featured a lecture on “The Ongoing War in Syria and its Ramifications on the Syrian-Armenian Community” presented by Rev. Haroutune Selimian, President of the Armenian Protestant Community of Syria. Rev. Fr. Ghevont Kirazian represented the Prelate.

Rev. Selimian reported on the situation in Aleppo and spoke of how aid is distributed to families, expressing the community’s gratitude for the unwavering support and assistance provided by Armenian communities worldwide. He also touched upon the uncertain future of those forced to flee their homes, which he stated is of great concern
