Under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, on the weekend of June 3 and 4, 2016, the Western Prelacy hosted an exhibition at the “Dikran and Zarouhie Der Ghazarian” Hall featuring the works of artist Lidya Tchakerian. The exhibition, titled “Because Life is Beautiful,” opened on the evening of Friday, June 3rd, and continued the following day.
The official opening began with welcoming remarks by Prelacy staff member Mrs. Knar Kortoshian, who also introduced the artist and then invited the Prelate to convey his blessings. His Eminence greeted the artist and commended her works and encouraged the guests to lend their support. Ms. Tchakerian thanked the Prelate for his remarks and encouragement and invited the guests to enjoy and enter her world through her paintings. Artist Razmik Hadjikian was among the guests in attendance and conveyed his encouraging words to the artist.
