Western Prelacy Mourns Passing of Legendary Singer Adiss Harmandian

On Sunday, September 1, 2019, the Armenian nation mourned the passing of legendary singer/songwriter Adiss Harmandian.

With a career spanning half a century, Adiss Harmandian was cherished by Armenians across the globe as a pioneer and icon who popularized Armenian music throughout the Diaspora. He was the recipient of numerous recognitions for his valuable contributions to our culture, including the “St. Mesrob Mashdots” medal by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I in 2005, and a letter of blessing and commendation by H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, in 2016.

We convey our deepest condolences to his children, extended family, colleagues, and friends.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 7, at 3:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Hall of Liberty.
