On Sunday, May 29, 2022, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed the official visit of His Beatitude Patriarch Rafael Petros XXI, accompanied by H.G. Bishop Mikael Mouradian, Eparch of the Armenian Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Nareg in the United States of America and Canada, and clergy to the Western Prelacy. In attendance were H.E. Archbishop Yeprem Tabakian and H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian.
On the occasion of his visit, the His Beatitude attended the dinner organized by the Prelate. In attendance were Archbishops of the Armenian Church, members of the Religious Council, Central Executive Council, Executive Council and Ladies Auxiliary of the Western Prelacy.
Bishop Donoyan conveyed the fraternal greetings of His Holiness Aram I., Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia towards the Patriarch, and then greeted the representatives of the Patriarch and his entourage, at expressed hope that the many difficulties in the life of the homeland and the nation, will gradually subside through collective prayer and efforts.
In his turn, the Patriarch thanked the Prelate for the reception, and wished all those present strength and vigor in their spiritual and national services.
On this occasion, Bishop Mouradian and Central Executive Council member Mr. Vahe Yacoubian expressed their remarks.
At the conclusion of the dinner, the Prelate presented a beautiful souvenir to the Patriarch. A short artistic program ensued during the evening, presented by tenor Mr. Berj Kirazian and pianist Mrs. Armineh Derderian.
Bishop Donoyan, on Friday, May 27, 2022, attended a special ceremony in honor of Patriarch Rafael Petros XXI., at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Church, and on Saturday, June 4, 2022, will be present at the official reception-dinner organized in honor of the Patriarch.
